Boom + Chris | Thailand wedding

When Boom first contacted me about photographing her wedding at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, I reread her email a few times. The Oriental holds a certain place in classic hotel lore that is occupied by only a handful of select properties. The Metropole in Hanoi, Vietnam, comes to mind as another. These are the classic old hotels that writers like Graham Greene used to pen a novel or two and quaff a whiskey or twelve. The walls are steeped in history, and although it may not be the most modern or best appointed, for the hotel connoisseur, there is no other.

But in the end, it turns out the hotel was just an afterthought, a nice backdrop to the main event. Because in Boom and Chris I found possibly the sweetest, most down-to-earth, friendly and generous couple I’ve worked with yet. And that’s saying a lot. It’s nice to know that they’ll be staying on in Bangkok for the foreseeable future. You can never have too many cool people in the neighbourhood.  undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined
