The things they carried....
Julian: Last week I shot a wedding in Siem Reap, Cambodia, something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. Not sure there’s a more photogenic spot in Southeast Asia, and the wedding was split into traditional Khmer ceremonies and a western reception, so it had a little bit of everything, and a whole lot of great image-making opportunities. Much more on this soon, as I’m still in the depths of editing.
In the meantime, I wanted to share this composite of images I made during one of the traditional Khmer ceremonies, where guests brought in ceremonial baskets of fruit and other objects for the bride and groom. As the guests awaited the couple’s arrival, I shot a series of what each person was carrying in their lap.
